Cutest Animals: Animals are an important part of human life. Love for animals is in our blood. we can not survive without animals. In this article, I'm gonna give a brief info about the Cutest Animals on this planet.  

1. Fennec Fox

Cutest Animals: Fennec Fox

The fennec fox is one of the cutest animals on Earth. It is located in the Arabian desert, the Sinai Peninsula, South East Israel, the Sahara of North Africa, and  South East Israel. It is also listed as one of the cutest pets. 

It is a nocturnal animal. It resides away from permanent human settlements and is very hard to capture. It has extra-large ears which give it a cute look. Its ears help in thermoregulation and prey detection. It is the smallest fox. It is well adapted to the desert environment and low water availability. It feeds on small mammals, birds, and insects. Its life span ranges from 10 to 14 years. 

This fox digs burrows for its habitation and protection.

2. Red Panda

This cute creature is a small mammal found in Southwestern China and the eastern Himalayas. It is dense reddish-brown in color with a black belly and legs and ringed tail. Another name for the red panda is the lesser panda. 

Despite its name, it is not closely related to pandas. Its size is roughly as small as your cat's size. it has a close resemblance with weasels, raccoons, and skunks. It is found in coniferous forests, mixed forests, and temperate forests.

Its main food is bamboo, but also feeds on eggs, birds, and insects. It can stand upright on its hind legs, which looks very cute. It can climb trees easily with the help of its flexible joints. The red panda has been enlisted as endangered species by IUCN. It is illegal to purchase a red panda, so you can not keep it as your pet.

3. Koala

This innocent and cute-looking animal is native to Australia. Koala is a herbivorous marsupial mammal. It has no tail. Round fluffy ears on a large head with a large spoon-shaped nose give it a cute look. Its color may range from grey to chocolate brown.

It mainly lives in eucalyptus woodlands. Its diet includes eucalypt leaves. This is a sleepy animal and sleeps or rests 20 hours a day. They are mostly antisocial animals. Young koalas are called joeys. Koalas are also known as the symbol of Australia.

You see koalas hugging the tree, they do so to lose heat. You can not keep it as your pet. Only authorized researchers and zoos can keep them. They are not just cute but can also hurt you as they have very sharp and strong claws. They can also bite you hard. Don't try to capture them without having special training. Koalas are enlisted in vulnerable species. 

4. Ferret

Ferret is a fun-loving animal. It is a domesticated animal. Ferret has a long and slender body shape. Its name is derived from the Latin word which means, "little thief". The female ferret is called a Jill, and the male ferret is known as a hob. 
Ferret resembles mustelids. It is a lively and curious creature. It is mostly found in North Africa, North America, and Western Europe. Its color can be black, white, brown, or a mixture of these colors. 
Ferrets can sleep 14 to 18 hours a day and are crepuscular. They like to play and show their excitement by jumping and hopping.
It eats meat. It can hunt rabbits. It is a very social animal; Which means it is a good pet, but if it is startled, it is not easy to handle and can bite hard. In this prospect, it is not a good pet for children. Ferrets are vulnerable to several diseases. They are widely used in neuroscience research and research for different infectious diseases like influenza, etc. 

5. Sugar glider

A sugar glider is a small gliding possum. it has a squirrel-like body. It belongs to the marsupial infraclass. Its color is pale grey to light brown. The sugar glider glides like a flying squirrel but is not closely related to the flying squirrels. Its gliding membranes are called patagia. Its gliding behavior makes it efficient to capture its prey. 

It is found in a small portion of southeastern Australia. It is mostly nocturnal. It is mostly active at night and during the day it resides in tree hollows covered with leafy twigs. Its large eyes are adapted to see at night.

The sugar glider is omnivorous in the diet. It likes sugary foods such as nectar and sap. In summer, when insects are abundant, they are insectivorous, but in winter when insects are scarce, they are exudetivorous. A sugar glider can glide like a flying squirrel.  

The sugar glider is found in some regions of southern Queen's land,  New South Wales east of the Great Diving Range, southeastern Australia. The sugar glider is an extremely social animal. It is also known as pocket pet. You should not keep it alone as it can get depressing, so keep them in pairs. Its life span is about 9 to 12 years.
